How the coffee's made

Olfactory beans, Fracino press, Coffee Latino van

Small-batch, ethically-sourced beans from Olfactory Coffee Roasters in Penryn. Pulled on a British-made Fracino press-lever machine from Birmingham. And a Peugeot Partner van converted by Coffee Latino — gas, battery and electric — for the Trebarwith Strand side of the business.

  • British-made Fracino

    Birmingham, UK

Traditional press-lever espresso machine, built in Birmingham. It's why the flat white holds up on the moor.

  • Coffee Latino van conversion

    Peugeot Partner

Converted for mobile service — gas + battery + electric — wrapped in pink and pulled up at Trebarwith Strand.

A proper dog menu on the counter

Dogs aren't tolerated here — they're welcomed. There's a printed dog menu on the counter, home-baked dog treats in the jar, and a gravy bone for every new arrival. Bodmin Moor dog walkers, this is a proper rest stop.

On the Doc Martin trail

200 metres from the Cathedral of the Moor

St Nonna's Church — the Cathedral of the Moor — is a two-minute walk from our door. It's the mother church of Bodmin Moor and the setting for Doc and Louisa's wedding in series 7. We're the nearest cup of tea to the filming location, not the filming location itself.

TripAdvisor
What a lovely little coffee shop! Amazing little place with the best selection of cakes to go with your hot drink. The hot chocolate and Nana's fruit cake being our absolute favourite. Everything is most certainly made with a lot of love!

A warm welcome, gorgeous homemade cakes and the best coffee you'll get for miles around. The peanut butter brownies and Bakewell blondies come highly recommended, although there isn't really a 'wrong' choice when it comes to the cake selection.
